Play date

On Saturday, Elizabeth and I went for play date at a friend/coworker's house. My friend's little boy is just a few months younger than Elizabeth. As you can tell, Miss E had a great time:)

It's a long way to Boston...

Progress made so far toward the move to Boston:

• Gave notice at work. My last day will be 8/25.
• Bought our (1 way!) plane tickets today. We fly out on 9/1.
• Ordered an airline safety restraint for Elizabeth so I can check her car seat
• Arranged to have my car shipped cross country
• Sent a formal acceptance letter to my future boss in Boston

Things I still need to do toward the move to Boston:

• Um, pretty much everything

Yeah, that's about where I'm at right now...Scary how much I really have to do as far as getting rid of stuff in the apartment. And jeez, didn't I just move into this apartment like 3 months ago?? For someone who absolutely loathes and detests moving, I certainly seem to do it enough, dontchya think?

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

Well, some big changes happening here! Elizabeth and I are saying good bye to sunny San Diego, and hello to New England. We are moving to Boston at the end of August, and I am sooooo excited!! That is where I am from, and where my parents and brother, SIL and nephews are. It is going to be so wonderful to be near family, and have Elizabeth get to grow up around them. I LOVE San Diego, but since I've had Elizabeth, I've really been missing my family. I had a job offer yesterday (over the phone of course!) so that cinched it for me. We'll be living with a friend of mine who offered to rent us part of her house.
Lots and lots to do to make this move happen, but I am thrilled!!

Two year check up

Elizabeth had her two year check up on Thursday. Here are her stats:

Height: 32.5 '' (20th percentile)

Weight: 24.6 (20th percentile)

The Dr. said she'll most likely be about 5' 5'' as an adult. :)

At 2 years old, Elizabeth's favorite things are:

Bubbles

Dancing and singing to The Wiggles or Barney

Popsicles and ice cream

Running and jumping

When Mommy tickles her

Taking her diaper off before Mommy can get clothes on her

Emptying the contents of Mommy's wallet

Being outside

Dogs and cats (live, in pictures, or on TV, but especially live)

Grabbing something of Mommy's and then running away so Mommy has to chase her (sigh)

Saying "hi" to anyone and everyone when we go places

We spent this morning at La Jolla Shores (my favorite beach!). Have I mentioned that Miss E loves the beach? :)

Hello long weekend!

We're back! It's been a whole week since my last post- oops! This past week has been kinda stressful for a variety of reasons, but I' m happy to have a nice long weekend. Three days off to spend with my sweetie pie:) I'm really missing my family; they are all in Maine this week. I wish we could be there too. But this year there was just no time to do that. But at least the weather here is so sunny it requires wearing sunglasses inside:)
