Today we went with my friend Misty and her 5 year old son Paden to a really fun pool with slides and and a playground next to it. The kids had a great time :)

She's 3!!

Today, my little girl turned 3- wow!!! I took her to a nearby beach and playground, where she quickly made friends with some other kids. Too cute :)

Three year portraits

Well, I don't think these came out too badly, considering Elizabeth's level of cooperation was...not too high. I especially enjoyed getting to chase her around Sears while trying to select which photos I wanted afterward. Ugg... This is an annual tradition, each year on or around her birthday, I have her pictures done professionally. Year one was pretty easy (she was crawling, but not walking yet), year two and this year were tough. I'm hoping year four will be easier!!

Early birthday party for the almost 3 year old :)

Elizabeth's birthday is on the 11th, so we decided to have a little celebration on Monday night in Maine, since a lot of the family was together.

This picture is out of order cause I can't seem to move it to the bottem of this post (sometimes blogger is really frustrating!!) Anyway, out on the deck setting off a "birthday sparkler" with Grandma and Aunt Betsy...

More from Maine

Elizabeth and I returned back to work and Day Care today after a wonderful long weekend with family in Maine. Here are some more pics from the weekend.
On Sunday night, we went to our cousins' house for dinner. Elizabeth loved playing with my cousin Barb's two boys, who were adopted 3 years ago from Russia.

On Monday, we went to go pick up some lobster for dinner that night (can't really see them in this picture).

Elizabeth also loved playing down on the rocks. The water actually wasn't too cold for Maine!

Greetings from Maine!

We are having a fabulous long weekend up in Maine at my parents' place! We arrived here just after 11 on Friday night. Elizabeth actually did great in the car. We just made one stop at L.L. Bean to use the potty and run around for a few minutes. After a long drive up from Boston, Elizabeth and I were very, very happy to be here :)
The next day, we went to a 4th of July parade (yep, on the 3rd, not sure why...).

Afterward, we came back to the house, and Elizabeth had fun on the rope swing, and the sandbox that Grandpa fixed for her.

She also liked helping Grandma water the flowers...(notice the cool new shades Aunt Betsy gave her)

Later in the afternoon, we went to a neighbor's party (which Elizabeth thought was for her, LOL). At the party, Elizabeth found...

and some guitars!

Last night, I got to go with my mom, sister and BIL to hear the Blue Hill pops, while Grandpa stayed home with Miss E. It was a real treat! Thank you, Dad!

This morning, Aunt Betsy gave Elizabeth a beautiful new bathing suit (love it) and Elizabeth promptly christened it by playing in the sprinkler :)
