The slacker blogger is back :)

On Saturday, a friend from when I was in the Peace Corps (a lifetime ago!) in Paraguay came down from LA to visit. Elizabeth, my other Peace Corps friend Julie, and I really enjoyed seeing her!

We had a fun playdate today with my friend Jeanette and her two girls. They have a great park/playground right near their house. Elizabeth had such a good time, until she melted down from having no nap... :0 As far as the move goes...one more week and two days 'til we fly to Boston (on 9/1)! Only two more days of work left. My last day is this Tuesday. I'm going to keep Elizabeth in Day Care through the week, because I have sooo much to do. I'm actually not too stressed though. I think that's because I'm partially in denial that this is really happening! Anyone want to volunteer to be my Sherpa while Miss E and I fly across the country?

My little cutie:)

This morning, my dear friend Julie had a going-away brunch for Elizabeth and me. I took my camera, but of course forgot to take any pictures. Luckily, my friend Dusty emailed me this one :) I will miss all my San Diego friends...

It's all the internet's fault...

that I'm nowhere near ready to move, and we only have 3 (!!!) weeks left before we go. It's just so much more fun reading blogs and goofing off on Facebook than it is packing and cleaning. Sigh...

Friday PM happy hour:)

Elizabeth's favorite thing to do these days is blow bubbles, especially with her BFF, Ava who lives upstairs.

Play date

On Saturday, Elizabeth and I went for play date at a friend/coworker's house. My friend's little boy is just a few months younger than Elizabeth. As you can tell, Miss E had a great time:)

It's a long way to Boston...

Progress made so far toward the move to Boston:

  • Gave notice at work. My last day will be 8/25.
  • Bought our (1 way!) plane tickets today. We fly out on 9/1.
  • Ordered an airline safety restraint for Elizabeth so I can check her car seat
  • Arranged to have my car shipped cross country
  • Sent a formal acceptance letter to my future boss in Boston

Things I still need to do toward the move to Boston:

  • Um, pretty much everything

Yeah, that's about where I'm at right now...Scary how much I really have to do as far as getting rid of stuff in the apartment. And jeez, didn't I just move into this apartment like 3 months ago?? For someone who absolutely loathes and detests moving, I certainly seem to do it enough, dontchya think?
