Fun weekend
Then, after her nap, we went swimming at the Y. Elizabeth had a first- I left her for almost an hour in the Y Child Care while I swam some laps in the outdoor pool. I was very hesitant about leaving her, but I really felt like I needed some exercise. I felt so good afterward, and Elizabeth did fine in the Child Care. I then took her into the heated indoor pool, so she could get some "swim time" in. She loves the water, my little fish!!
On Sunday we went to Church, then for lunch at Auntie Carol's house. When we got home, Elizabeth had a 3 hour nap, which is almost unheard of for her. She's more of a 45 minute nap kind of girl.
And, my little girl is growing up...She is outgrowing her infant car seat. I'd been putting it off for as long as possible, but I bought her this new car seat:
It's a Gr#co Angelica, and goes up to 40 lbs. I got it a Targay's, and I got to use the gift cards I received from Elizabeth's baby shower back in February. I was tempted by the beautiful Brit%x car seats, but they are just a wee bit out of my price range. Plus, they are quite big, and I'm not sure how well one would fit into my little Ford Focus. Anyway, I'm happy with the car seat I got, and more importantly so is Elizabeth! She gave it her seal of approval when she rode home from Day Care in it this afternoon.

Hello, my name is Anne, and I'm addicted to adoption blogs...
The downside to my addiction is that I have a tendency to find the "adoption horror stories" too, the ones where someone has a child from the foster care system, for example, and think they will be able to adopt the child who has been living with them for months, or even years. But then something goes horribly wrong (for the PAP), the child is reunited with their birth parents, or some great-aunt pops out of the woodwork and is given the child. Ugg....I have GOT to stop reading these stories, they just scare me too much. Needless to say, the thought of Elizabeth being taken from me is just, well...can't even go there...
So, is there a Bloggers Anonymous I can go to??!!
